Such a solid go to here in town. They never miss. Something for everyone and it's organic. Fairly priced, great service and just a solid backbone in our community. Best $1 cookies too!!!
Great food as always. Out go to order right now is the Really Cheese Steak, and Really Chicken sandwiches with fries ( the fires are especially good) and a side of Cheese Garlic Pita. Service is fast. Just wish they were open 24/7 cause we would eat their food for every meal.
Our first visit was yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and helpful and we were given two free yummy cookies in honor of my birthday. Needless to say, we will be back. Can't wait to eat outside in the warmer weather.

Finally tried this place today and it's was delicious! I got the chicken club, and my boyfriend got one of the cheesesteaks. We both loved our meals! It was so good I ate half my sandwich before thinking this is so good, it needs a review lol. It was hard to choose what to eat because everything looked so good. Ingredients were fresh and great quality. Staff was friendly and attentive. I loved the homemade fries and ranch too! Definitely going to be a regular here from now on!
We found a new favorite lunch spot! A must try for everyone in the family!!! And every food preference was available. Meat lovers to vegans. Can't wait for the next trip. Might even have the nut burger.
I had lived in Grass Valley for almost 2 years and am sad to say that I have never been to the Afternoon Deli until now. I wish I would have tried it a lot sooner! Even though the deli is small, they have a cute and quaint outdoor area with plenty of seating. The food is amazing!! As someone who is trying more vegan options I LOVED this tempeh bacon sandwich & hope that it becomes apart of the regular menu. They have a pretty big menu with options for vegans, vegetarians & meat eaters. The staff are super friendly & were so helpful when I asked for recommendations since it was my first time there. I have so much more on the menu that I want to try & am really pleased with the quality of the food and the price. This is a must stop on my list for one of the best places in GV! I do wish that the Afternoon Deli would be a little more active on Facebook or Instagram so that the community could see what their specials are & to be more involved.
